Phelan Law Group was founded by James E. Phelan in 2014 to better serve the needs of our clients. Previously, Mr. Phelan practiced personal injury and construction defect litigation at a large Chicago law firm, where he had been a partner since 2005.

However, we also believe that the majority of cases should not be resolved by trial. In many situations, our clients’ needs are better served through early resolution of the matter, either by mediation, arbitration, or even pre-suit negotiations. An initial investigation and evaluation of the case, straightforward dealing with opposing counsel, and clear communication with the client often result in contested matters being resolved early, which benefits the client before needless time and expense are wasted on litigation.
